THE PRESIDENT OF REPUBLIC OF NAGORNO-KARABAKH ACCEPTED THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE CONFERENCE OF INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR ARMENIAN STUDIES


  The 13th conference of International Association for Armenian Studies (AIEA) took part in Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, Matenadaran of Yerevan on October 9-11, after which the participants finished their works in Yerevan and visited Nagorno-Karabakh. During the two days of visit the participants had possibilities to see the monuments of Armenian architecture and visit the State Museum of Fine Arts in Shushi. This visit pursuing cognitive aim had deep influence upon foreign armenologists. The visiting of scientific cultural complex, built near the Gandzasar monastery, was especially impressive, where is foreseen to establish Matenadaran-Gandzasar scientific cultural center after Mesrop Mashtots. Bako Sahakyan, the President of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh, also accepted over 50 armenologists from the different parts of the world who had visited Artsakh led by Hrachya Tamrazyan (Director of the Yerevan’s Matenadaran). Bako Sahakyan underlined the role and importance of Artsakh in armenological researches. He marked that in Artsakh they pay special attention on deep and established connections with scientific frames of different countries by considering them as hub of direction of development of scientific cultural relations.
